My first day at the gym!

I got to go to CrossFit today!

Amber said I wasn't allowed to join in the WOD until I get my puppy shots :(

But I got to try out the box jumps and sniff at the bumper plates.

I cant wait until I can hang out with my new One Spirit buddies, especially Indy, everyday.

I puked a bit in the car, okay it was alot..... but dad kept turning corners and starting and stopping and it was just too much for me.

I'm real sleepy, so I'm gonna nap

ZZZzzzzzzz

Spa Treatment, Grandparents, Yard Work

My favorite pup got the spa treatment this weekend complete with bath and teeth brushing. The minty fresh breath was a good thing, because there were tons of puppy kisses to pass out to Grandma and Grandpa T. Elphers also helped us as we built a new path in the garden, its basically a walkway to the firing range.

Elphie's First WOD

Since CrossFit was cancelled tonight, Elphie and I made up our own WOD.

AMRAP 40 mins
Partner sprints
Planter hurdling

I would spring across the back yard, she would wait until I stopped then come sprinting towards me as soon as I yelled "Come on Elphie!"

The part she seems to love the best is hucking herself with complete abandon over the railroad ties bordering the planting beds

Day 3

It's been a strange day today. Pack Leader left me with Mommy all night, and she kept insisting we go out in the cold for me to pee when there was paper right there by the bed. She was right there on the other side of the room, but she wouldn't let me come out and play, which was probably okay because it as dark, but I cried anyway just in case she might change her mind.

In the morning Pack Leader came in and told me I was a good girl, and gave me breakfast--which tasted just like the food with the old pack. I ate a lot. The orange thing with the puffy fur came to investigate, and I moved over so he could share my food... but then he opened his mouth and showed me all his teeth and hissed at me.

Then Pack Leader disappeared. I don't know where he went. Luckily, he didn't take Mommy with him.

I went on my first real walk today. We went around this big pond like thing with some mud in the bottom. I kept getting distracted by the wind, bushes, woods, and this big blue plastic thing Mom called a slide. Also, I was too scared to walk on the steep slope by the fence, so Mommy carried me home, and set me down right in front of our gate. I was so excited.

We've done a lot of hardcore napping today. Mommy's napping a lot too, which is strange, and I keep trying to jump up and join her, but she wont let me on the tall pillow things, she makes me stay on my pillow on the floor. Sometimes she comes and sits next to me, and will let me climb on her lap and give her kisses. I'm very affectionate today.

I got a yummy lunch and a good romp out in the garden. Oh! And I think I learned my first English today. When Mommy says "come on!" I run as fast as I can to her, and I get lots of pets. We did it a bunch of times, and I really like it when I get to jump the garden wall, even tho sometimes I have to scramble up the side.

Also the really puffy fur thing keeps coming down to see me, but she won't play. I'm posting a picture, cause she's doing her best to look very scary, but I think she actually likes me.

Who could NOT like me? I'm like, the cutest puppy ever.

My first night away from my brothers sisters and mom :(

I went home with my new pack last night and had my first night alone....

...well mostly alone my new parents were in the room with me, but all I had to lay next to me was my heart beat pillow and my warming UFO

I also learned about my new crate and house, oh and TWO CATS! The cats dont want to play yet, but I'm pretty sure I can win them over.

Well its time to go play with my treat filled KONG ball, then maybe nap number 87, so BYE!

Road Tripping like a Rockstar

Today we picked Elphie up.

We're currently at truck stop in Maryland, probably about two hours from home, Elphie is asleep on a pillow between our seats, and couldn't BE a better road-tripper.

We were warned that she might throw up, or whine, but once we got onto the highway, she settled down between us, and went right to sleep. Every once in a while she will wake up, stretch, lift her head and give us a look that says "I'm so cute I don't know what to do with myself."

We've stopped every hour and a half to let her stretch her legs, and aside from one skiddish moment on decking overlooking a reservior, she's taken truck horns, rain, slamming car doors and other people in stride.

Ian has chosen our "go potty" command, and we've been saying it while she goes potty. "Fire at will, elphie!" Ian is a dork.

We've only had to correct her for one thing this whole car trip--trying to pull a hole in a blanket. But even then, it took one tap and one noise, and she stopped.

Okay, well, back to the road for us. Here are the pictures so far:
