Road Tripping like a Rockstar

Today we picked Elphie up.

We're currently at truck stop in Maryland, probably about two hours from home, Elphie is asleep on a pillow between our seats, and couldn't BE a better road-tripper.

We were warned that she might throw up, or whine, but once we got onto the highway, she settled down between us, and went right to sleep. Every once in a while she will wake up, stretch, lift her head and give us a look that says "I'm so cute I don't know what to do with myself."

We've stopped every hour and a half to let her stretch her legs, and aside from one skiddish moment on decking overlooking a reservior, she's taken truck horns, rain, slamming car doors and other people in stride.

Ian has chosen our "go potty" command, and we've been saying it while she goes potty. "Fire at will, elphie!" Ian is a dork.

We've only had to correct her for one thing this whole car trip--trying to pull a hole in a blanket. But even then, it took one tap and one noise, and she stopped.
